Ready to Move? We Got You

Want a new home without waiting for the construction dust to settle? Then you might be in the market for an inventory home. Also called “spec” homes, inventory homes are either already under construction or completely built, meaning that you can purchase a brand-new home and move in on your timeline even if it’s quick.

Still not sure if an inventory home is right for you? Here is some food for thought.

Standards are High

Move-in ready homes are built to the same exacting standards as a home built from the ground up. They are protected by the same warranties, and they are just as energy efficient. The only difference is your timetable. You can move into an inventory home right away – not six months from the day you signed your contract.

It’s Easy

The lure of a new build home is the opportunity to make all of your own choices when it comes to flooring, paint, cabinets, carpeting and more. If you are someone who would rather leave those choices to someone else you feel might have more design sense than you do, an inventory home may be the perfect choice. You simply tour the home, fall in love, buy it and move in. Oh, and it still has that new home smell.

You Can Still Make Choices

Not all inventory homes are sold “finished.” Many are sold in various stages of completion, so you still have time to put your personal stamp on your new home. That could mean being able to add a media room or upgrading appliances. Of course, if it isn’t finished yet, you will have to wait a little to move in but not as long as you would have to if your home was being built from the ground up.

You Might Get a Deal

Toward the end of the year, builders will offer incentive packages for inventory homes. Purchasing a home then might get you discounted pricing, no closing costs and upgrades

Wedgewood Forest Has Inventory Homes

Inventory homes can be hard to find these days thanks to Houston’s robust housing market, but both Colina Homes and DH Homes have inventory homes ready and waiting for you. Many of them include structural options and upgrades and others are not quite finished so you can still choose your paint colors, floors and fixtures. We invite you to come see them today — but hurry, they could be gone tomorrow.
