Bring Hurricane Harvey Donations to Grand Opening

Wedgewood Forest is turning its Sept. 9 grand opening celebration into an opportunity to assist with Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. During the event, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the community will be accepting donations for the Montgomery County Food Bank and the Montgomery County Animal Shelter.

Bins for donations of cleaning supplies and pet items will be available at both Wedgewood Park model homes —  Century Communities and Westin Homes — located at 315 Pitch Pine Court, Conroe, TX.

The Montgomery County food bank is in special need of the following cleaning supplies:
– Buckets
– Mops
– Rubber Gloves
– Face Dust/Particle Masks
– Box Fans

The Montgomery County animal shelter currently needs the following items

  • Wire crates (large and extra large)
  • -Cat litter
  • -Pee pads
  • -Wet cat food
  • -Stainless steel bowls

Both organizations are accepting monetary donations on their websites and are in need of volunteers as well.

In addition to collecting donations, visitors will have a chance to tour the models and register to win a Top Golf package, iFly experience, hydro rocket ride or the grand prize of a Ritz-Carlton weekend, including airfare. Children will enjoy face painters, bounce houses and balloon twisters, while parents can tour model homes and register for prizes.
